Penanshin Shipping was established in 1998 by a group of entreprenuers from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Philippines. It started as a neutral NVOCC company and took advantage of Singapore's well-developed port infrastructure and good geographical location as a world best trans-shipment hub to handle any worldwide shipments to and from Singapore. Penanshin Shipping has gained strength from strength, experiencing steady and strong growth in less than a decade and moved from a regional player to the international scene, developing more NVOCC consolidation channels and lanes in and out of Singapore from 1998.
Penanshin Shipping is a one-stop freight forwarding services company for customers who require services like freight forwarding, custom clearance, warehousing distribution, transportation, door to door services, household effects, projects shipments, exhibition cleaance, etc. With overseas offices in Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, India, Brunei, Vietnam and Philippines, Penanshin Shipping is positioned to be a major player in the regional market and strives to provide our customers with excellent services.
Shipped volumes from a mere 50 TEUs/month in 1998 have grown tremendsously to more than 850 TEUs/month after 2005. The number of consol port has grown from 8 ports in the late 1990s to 70+ lanes presently. The total revenue has multiplied many times over from SGD 2 million a year in 1998 to more than SGD35 million (overall, Singapore and overseas branches) as of end of 2007.
